Who are we?

Magneto Communications delivers live and online corporate training events that create capable communicators.

Our unique training style has built a loyal enterprise client base since 2005.

In late 2025 we launched MagnetoMentor – a suite of digital tools to help enterprise teams easily build writing workflows for AI.

We’re a Small Giant, so you’ll be hands-on across all products (training and technology).

Fear not, we have great systems and processes in place. We’re generous in how we run the business but don’t waver from our high standards.

If you hide from hard work, this isn’t for you.

About the role

As our Client Success & Learning Events Lead you’re an unflappable problem-solver, open communicator and keen learner.

You stay positive while adapting to a wide range of technologies, client requests, projects and tools.

You respect and embrace diversity.

And your sense of humour is as healthy as your checklist obsession.

This isn’t a hide-behind-your-desk kind of role. It’s high-visibility work in a small, dynamic team where your contribution matters every day.

If you worked here this past month, you’d have been involved in:

  • Training events
    • Organising and implementing our annual training events schedule (in-house and online).
    • Liaising with our corporate stakeholders (both those who need the training for their teams and those who coordinate the events on the client side) daily via both email, phone (when a quick chat will get things moving faster) and MS Teams (when a meeting is best to build rapport). You’ll know when to use each to get the outcome fast.
  • Trainer briefings
    • Making sure our trainers have all the information they need in advance, have had all the right meetings and know what to expect on the day.
  • Admin & systems
    • Work alongside a small admin team. They’re smart, capable and efficient. Together you’ll spot anything that isn’t super smooth and create (or document) a system to fix it.
  • Business projects
    • With our managing director, set the quarterly ‘rocks’ (key projects, targets and focus) and lead their completion. Projects can be anything from a marketing program, a special learning event or a client feedback initiative.
  • Client service & business development/sales support
    • Answering enquiries, following up new-business leads, supporting the sales process and conducting post-training interviews with stakeholders. Ultimately – building on our reputation for giving clients a positive, flexible, and generous experience with us.
About you
  • Tech-confident and efficiency-driven: You embrace automation and AI, build systems that eliminate manual work, and troubleshoot independently.
  • Customer-focused: You’re the voice of the business when it counts – understanding client needs, keeping events on track and turning feedback into action.
  • Financially fluent: You know your way around Xero (reports, debtors, KPIs) and can set and track financial targets.
  • Organised and detail-sharp: You catch typos at three paces, run complex event calendars, and lead a small support team without endless meetings.
  • A no-ego doer: We’re a horizontal business where everyone pitches in. You see what needs doing and get it done – resourcefully and with care.
  • A lifelong learner: You pick up new tools and challenges quickly, and you’re passionate about development – yours and others’.
  • Experience: 5+ years in business management, event coordination, or a corporate EA/L&D role. Bonus if you know EOS or Traction.
Why work with us?

Culture
We believe culture is everyone’s responsibility. Together we set the mood, the vibe, the attitude. Read our vision and values to see if it feels right.

Office hours
We work corporate hours to match our clients: Typically in the zone from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm on weekdays. But we’re flexible; whatever works for you.

Office life
You’ll need to be on-site at least one day a week for this role (maybe more in the beginning – eastern suburbs Sydney).

Our team is 80 per cent remote and has been for 15+ years, so we’re comfortable with remote working. But this will come once you’re up to speed.

We’ll work with you to find the right schedule between 25-40 hours per week. This can be in flux each week based on your availability and workflow. We know flexibility matters and great people do more than just work.

We have a very family-centric culture. If you’re looking for work to be your social life after hours, this won’t be that exciting. We have a happy, hard-working and balanced culture but once the workday is over, it’s family time for all.

We DO offer you genuinely meaningful, challenging work and a passionate and smart team.

What you’ll get:

  • Independent contractor rate negotiated based on experience (pro-rata equivalent of $90–$110k/year, negotiable for right person)
  • Support to have a good tech setup in the office and at home
  • Flexible working hours within our on-site requirement.
Enough already! How do I apply?
  1. Tell us why this role is perfect for you (no more than one page). Clearly note your experience across these key areas of the role:
    • Business/office management
    • Customer service
    • Technology & systems.
  2. Attach your CV OR share your LinkedIn profile if it’s up-to-date.
  3. Email these to info@magneto.net.au with the subject header, ‘Client Success Lead Application’ before 6 March 2026.
