In-house Training: Face-to-Face & Virtual

We have a great reputation for taking a dry topic and making it engaging, research-based, practical and interactive. Each program is tailored to your templates, communication samples, key challenges, values and strategy.

Yes, every program is tailored to your company, the individuals attending and the learning outcomes you need.

We have training options for both individuals and large enterprise teams. One size does not fit all so contacting us and discussing what you need is a great first step. We have solutions and experience with all scenarios.

Key programs: Most of what we do is run in-house training for enterprise teams. Each cohort is typically up to 18 people. This is a great group size for diverse inputs and the opportunity to all learn from each other. If the group gets larger it’s harder for attendees to feel comfortable asking questions, time becomes tight, and personalised learning starts to diminish.

Presentation skills training is an exception: Given we run this in a very practical and personalised group coaching format these programs are limited to 14 people.

Learning Bites: Our shorter 1-2 hour ‘Learning Bites’ sessions are more flexible around numbers. They range from 20 people workshop style up to 120 and above for keynote or conference style sessions.

The right choice depends on what you’re writing:

  • Board Paper Brilliance: A perfect fit if the group is writing board, committee, and formal papers regularly and repeatedly. This course focuses on structuring clear, strategic communication for senior audiences. If you’re not writing board papers but definitely want to sharpen your written communication overall, ‘Get it Write’ is your go-to.

  • Get it Write: If your people are writing a very broad range of everyday business communication—emails, reports, proposals, and more—this is a great choice. This course is targeted at enterprise teams with a primarily technical background. These people are wired for numbers more than words, but need to build better habits around clear, concise and commercial business writing.

The two courses aren’t part of a progression—one isn’t more advanced than the other. Both are for business writing and both are principles-based. You choose the right one based on what the team is writing.

We don’t recommend it. The energy and program design are best focused on one format only to avoid compromising the experience in either.

When a facilitator runs a face-to-face program they use entirely different exercises, learning and engagement approaches to when they run the same thing virtually. It’s the difference between what a stage actor does and a film actor – completely different facilitation approaches even when the content and concepts are the same.

If you have some people in the room and others online the day is very stop/start to accommodate the needs of both groups. Ultimately, this isn’t smooth for all.

If it’s unavoidable, this combination works for those who can’t be there in person:

  1. If a few of the group can’t attend the live training event: They can complete our self-paced online course beforehand.

  2. Then, join via MS Teams on the day to participate in discussions with their peers, and ask questions.

A growth mindset and their laptop (to access the digital workbook and work on any communication samples).

For a virtual session they can log into the training from any location that is suitable for quiet concentration. Usually it’s best to let them decide what is going to be the optimal environment for learning.

Typically, at your office in a training room or boardroom. We are based in Sydney but travel to where you are, as needed.

We typically use Microsoft Teams since most of our enterprise clients are on the MS Office Suite. We can host events of any size through Teams events and webinars. If a Town Hall event is needed for a keynote we will often run that on your account to guarantee things will run smoothly at scale. We were running virtual training events long before Covid and have delivered training on every major platform. The best choice is one that enables great facilitation and provides easy access for participants.

Absolutely! We design every virtual session to be highly engaging using multimedia, real-time collaboration, and active discussion. Virtual has emerged as the preference for our enterprise clients because their teams are mostly dispersed globally and the virtual training format is a winner thanks to our unique delivery style.

Given you don’t all need to squeeze into one room, yes, this can be a great option for larger groups. Talk to us what you need, and we can find the right option. The best decision always has the learners at the centre of our decision-making.

Of course! The learning expands back into the workplace. Participants receive extensive post-training resources and access to ongoing learning tools.

Online, Self-Paced Learning

It means you’re in charge of when you start. And when you finish. But we know a little secret: You’re human. And busy. Combine those two factors and learning can quickly take a back seat to other more seemingly urgent things.

Here’s how to avoid that:

We suggest you block out 3 x 2-hour sessions across no more than six weeks (yes, one every fortnight). You will either complete the course in that time, or if you’re taking things slower you will be well and truly on your way. For each of the sessions, hang up your ‘Do not disturb’ sign. You won’t regret it. Momentum is everything in life; this is no exception.
How does lifetime access sound?

After enrolling, you’ll have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like — across any and all devices you own. It’s mobile friendly, too, so watching the sessions at the dog park, on the bus, or outside in the sun, are entirely feasible. Why not?
We have a super-simple guarantee: If you’re not happy, we’re not happy, and we’ll do whatever it takes to fix it.

To help us all maximise the success of your training, there’s just one ‘condition’ to our guarantee: That you reasonably co-operate with all our preparation requests, actively participate in the training, and genuinely try to put your learning into practice at work.

That would be a bummer, but we know stuff happens. Drop us a line and explain your situation. We’re reasonable people and will do what we can to help you.

You don’t need any special software—just a computer with audio so you can watch and listen to the videos. You can use a tablet/iPad or even a mobile phone if you want to do your learning on the go. Simply log in to our platform through your web browser, and you’re ready to go.

Each course varies in duration but the primary programs are the equivalent of one day of training (up to 8 hours of your time). The shorter courses will have the timings noted so you know what you’re committing to. But self-paced programs are designed for just that … for you to take it at your own pace.

Yes! Once you reach 100% completion, you’ll be eligible to receive a certificate. You can easily download it as a PDF after finishing the course.

It’s always ideal to do the course with a friend or colleague (a.k.a. ‘Study Buddy’). That is because the best learning is social. A ‘Study Buddy’ will hold you accountable, share the learning experience with you and will also be a great sounding board for your questions and thoughts.

There is no ‘pre-work’ as such. Everything is explained as you get started and all learning resources are within the program. As long as you have a good internet connection and some focused time you can begin!

Yes, if you are a group of any size we can organise an invoice for you. This can either be paid via your accounts department, or via credit card. With this option we get the trainees up and running separate to the payment process so they can start immediately. If you’d like this option please email us and we’ll get you all sorted swiftly: info@magneto.net.au
