How we can support your learning
We aim to make our learning as accessible and effective as possible for all. That said, our live sessions are highly interactive and fast-moving, which may not always be the best fit for everyone – particularly anyone with low vision, audio processing challenges, or certain learning difficulties.
For this reason, our self-paced courses are often the most supportive option.
Here are some ideas on how we can adapt but given accessibility is unique to the individual it’s best to contact us in advance to discuss.
Why self-paced learning works best
Our self-paced courses allow learners to:
- Control the pace
Pause, rewind, and revisit content as often as needed. This reduces time pressure and cognitive load. - Use assistive technology comfortably
Content can be accessed using magnifiers, captions, transcripts, and other accessibility tools. - Choose how they engage
Read, listen, or review written examples without needing to follow live audio or on-screen text in real time. - Learn without sensory overload
No rapid slides, overlapping discussion, or time-limited activities.
Support for specific needs
- Low vision
Self-paced materials can be enlarged or reviewed in high-contrast settings. - Audio complexity
Learners can rely on written explanations and transcripts rather than real-time spoken delivery. - Learning difficulties
The ability to repeat content, take breaks, and work asynchronously supports comprehension and retention.
Live sessions and accessibility
Our live sessions are designed to be engaging and energetic, which works well for many participants. However, they may not always provide enough flexibility for people who need:
- slower pacing
- repetition
- reduced audio or visual complexity.
Where appropriate, we may recommend self-paced learning instead of live delivery to ensure the best learning outcome.
Let’s talk
If someone is unsure which format will work best, we encourage them to contact us. We’re happy to talk through their needs and help them choose the option that will support their learning most effectively.
