Every month I edit up to 80 writing samples from various businesses, as part of our training courses. I see the same five problems so often that I just KNOW you’re doing some of them! They’re dangerous because they disengage readers and make you sound boring.

- Lead with the “big news”
- Use natural language
- Use more verbs and fewer nouns
- Use shorter sentences (average 15 words)
- Use “active voice”
